I would like to tell you about my town Tajimi and nearby towns in Gifu, Japan. This area is very famous for ceramic industry since 1300 years ago. There are many factories of mass production ceramics but also there are many unique potteries or artist’s studios that they are trying unique approach for modern and traditional mix of ceramics. If you are really interested in Japanese ceramics, you would love this town! I will give you a hint to walk around this area to find truly wonderful ceramics.
This area is locating in the center of Japan. The nearest big city is Nagoya. It is 45min from Nagoya by train.
